Diana Bruce
I work with acrylics and collage - raiding weekend supplements and other magazines for exciting colours and textures. Subjects range from townscapes to figures in the landscape to still lives. I have also created abstract collages using textiles silk and cotton or synthetic material which is bleached, overpainted or frayed.
The work usually involves a lot of mess and I think my initial enthusiasm derived from my favourite lesson at primary school - double 'sticky' on Friday afternoons! |
I have taken advantage of modern technology to copy my collages - they are fragile, apt to fade and need to be flattened to have more impact.
I have exhibited my work in a bookshop, in a local wine bar and in my 'open' garden.
