Harriet Cox
Harriet is a self-taught Bristol based artist. In her latest body of work, traveling to the Western Isles of Harris and Lewis has inspired her. This part of the world has a wealth of dramatic and beautiful scenery that she has expressed in her oil paintings.
Harriet’s work captures the atmosphere of a scene that has been created by the constant shifting of the elements. She creates her paintings by building up many thin layers of oil paint that is then worked back to reveal glimpses of landscapes and the constant changes in the skies. Her paintings are an emotional response to a very special place.
