Jane Wills
Jane was captivated over 25 years ago by the wonderful enamels of Limoges in France. In her own work she initially developed a range of small scale jewellery in copper and silver.
Latterly, she has explored the textural and design opportunities provided by copper shim, a type of thin copper. It has enabled Jane to work in a 3d format. Increasingly she has experimented with using higher heat in the kiln to transform the enamel in often unpredictable and exciting ways, reflecting the light and transforming the colours of the underlying metal.
